WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

It is illegal for under-18s to buy alcohol and illegal to sell alcohol to under-18s.

In 2000, 238 licensed retailers were found guilty or cautioned for selling alcohol to under-18s.

Here at ‘The Brickmakers’ we are strict on our underage drinking policy.  If there is the slightest suspicion that you may be underage, you will be asked to produce your ID. 

Forms of ID that we accept are as follows...

Passport
Driving License
Any other Nationally recognized Pass card with The PASS hologram on it, e.g, Portman Group Card / Citizen Card / Connexions Card

Any other form of ID will not be accepted...

Our Proof of Age card scheme helps us uphold the law and safeguard our licence. It allows 18 and 19 year olds (and twentysomethings) to obtain a photo ID card which lets them buy alcohol hassle-free in ‘The Brickmakers’

‘The Brickmakers’ YPID card does not and will not replace the Portman card, we fully support the Portman Group and encourage all young people to get involved in the scheme as your Brickies card will only be valid in ‘The Brickmakers’. Please be aware that you cannot use it any where else and if we find that you have attempted to use it anywhere other than ‘The Brickies’ you will be asked to hand your card in.
